Description
The Science Museum is seeking a Main Contractor for the strip out and base build works for Gallery 22. This is a new gallery to be situated on Level 1 of the East Hall at the Science Museum, London and comprises 350sqm of gallery space. The project has been split into two distinct work streams - Base Build and Exhibition Fit-Out.
The museum's requirement is to provide a flexible gallery space which will be refurbishment-free for 25 years, allowing exhibitions and gallery installations to be commissioned and installed during this period with minimal structural intervention between each fit out.
The project will be procured on a single stage traditional basis. The contract used will be a JCT Standard Building Contract 2016 Without Quantities.
