Description
The London Borough of Hillingdon is seeking to procure the provision of nursing care home beds under two Lots described below under block contracts for a period of three years with an optional extension of a further three years. Subject to Tenderers being able to meet required criteria within Service Specifications pertaining to the Lots outlined below, the majority of referrals will be people aged 65 and above who are residents of the London Borough of Hillingdon and registered with a North West London General Practice.
Lot 1: Ten short-term nursing care home beds for people who are non-weight bearing that can support general nursing and nursing dementia needs. The contract associated with this lot will be for a three-year period with the option to extend for a further three years, i.e., a maximum of six years.
Lot 2: Five short-term nursing care homes beds for people who are weight bearing but have nursing dementia or general nursing needs. The contract associated with this lot will be for three years with the option to extend for a further three years i.e., a maximum of six years.
The Council intends to award the Lots based on the outcome of the evaluation process. However, in order to be considered for both Lots and in the interests of infection prevention and control, the Services must be delivered from a minimum of two different settings. The Council's preference is for the Lots to be delivered by different providers, but this is not a requirement. Tenderers for each Lot will be individually assessed so that awards for each Lot are based on the highest score for each Lot.
