Description

As part of the Policing Education Qualifications Framework (PEQF) the College of Policing has been working to produce a standardised process for the Recognition of Prior Experience and Learning (RPL). The College has designed a matrix for the awarding of academic credits and levels to selected National Policing Curriculum Courses and the learning acquired from the skills and experience gained by officers and staff during their careers.

These matrices, along with a standardised Initial Application Form have been developed following extensive national consultation. The College of Policing has produced an online tool to support individuals to identify the typical number of credits someone with their skills and experience may be able to claim through RPL. The online tool will also show a Directory of those courses that have agreed to apply the standardised RPL process and the credits identified in the matrices.

An application pack is from the email address listed for Recognised Qualification Providers to apply to have their courses considered for inclusion in the Directory. There are strict criteria for inclusion and these should be read and confirmed before returning any application forms.
