Full details and specifications will be provided to the successfully shortlisted suppliers. Suppliers should be aware of the scale of this project and should assess their internal capabilities to be able to carry out the intended scope of works, prior to completing this expression of interest (EOI).
When selecting a supplier BBV look for alignment of values, behaviors and cultures, between ourselves and our supply chain. BBV and HS2 have aligned their values to the following:

Successfully shortlisted supplier's will be those with verifiable experience, and the appropriate capacity ,resources and technical ability to deliver the scope of works. Supplier's may then be invited to the project, to formally demonstrate their experience and capabilities. As an alternative phone/webinar interviews may be conducted.

On selection, shortlisted supplier's will be issued with a formal pre-qualification and/or Invitation to Tender (ITT) to demonstrate their ability to work with these values and behaviors in mind, whilst proving their demonstration of capabilities and competence.

The scope of services to form the drainage survey for WMI-4B-0336A as per drawing 1MC08-BBV_BBU-UT-DLO-NS03_NL09-000004-P01-S2 are detailed below:
• Complete a drainage survey (including CCTV surveys) of the drainage networks located within the survey extents. A full survey of the pipes and a condition report must be provided for each run, including connection locations, together with a marked-up plan confirming the chamber reference numbers.
• The survey must include any drainage that is encountered, regardless of whether it is identified on existing record drawings or not.
• All drains shall be pre-cleaned by high pressure jet in accordance with the Specification for Civil Engineering Works (SCEW) Clause 520, prior to inspection to allow the camera to pass through the drainage system. Blockages due to the accumulation of loosened silt will be the responsibility of the Survey Contractor to remove to enable full coverage of the system by CCTV.
• The CCTV survey shall be employed to establish the following information:
- drain/sewer size;
- nature of drain/sewer (inclined, foul, surface water or combined);
- pipe material;
- flow directions, to be indicated on all diagrams;
- nature of connecting lateral (rainwater pipe, gulley etc.);
- location and level of connecting laterals/joints;
- condition of existing construction;
- location of displaced joints, where applicable;
- extent and location of loss of hydraulic section (percentage loss);
- extent of vegetation/root intrusion;
- manhole/inspection chambers;
- fall (gradient) of pipe work;
- location of any groundwater ingress; and
- nature and extent of scaling/silting.
The Surveyor shall ensure that a mini tanker is present on site at all times to allow jetting of any blockages that may otherwise prevent continuation of the survey.

The Surveyor shall be responsible for removing and replacing all access covers and the clearance of all equipment from the site on completion of the survey. The Surveyor shall be responsible for the removal and disposal of any material that is removed from the drains to a licenced tip.
Following the completion of the survey, the Surveyor will provide BBV with complete video footage of the survey in an industry recognised format (to be agreed with BBV), as well as the provision of the software to view the records if required.

The Surveyor will provide BBV with a full condition/structural report of the surveyed drainage, including layout models in *.dgn format, showing the surveyed drainage (including layout, extents and levels). The drainage survey should record the locations of all manholes and gullies (x, y & z co-ordinates), and the routes of all drainage pipes.
