Description

The Council is looking to establish a multi-provider framework for the cutting and clearance of vegetation and tree management for its Public Rights of Way and Trails network.
Successful applicants will be appointed to the framework agreement to provide these services in accordance with the service specification, together with the documents making up the Contract.
The framework will consist of 2 Lots as follows:

o Lot 1 - Vegetation Cutting and Clearance
This lot is subdivided into smaller geographical areas, which have been measured for a total distance to allow applicants to provide a cost of cutting per geographical area for the purpose of direct award. Each contract area is made up of a combination of trails and public rights of way. Due to the nature of the countryside contractors will be expected to be able to carry out the contract delivery regardless of the terrain. This means that contractors will need to have the ability to carry out works across boardwalks, by river banks, on flood banks and in protected landscapes.
Public rights of way are cut up to twice per year and trails are cut up to three times per year

o Lot 2 - Reactive Tree Management
This Lot covers any tree works required on the rights of way and trails network e.g. dealing with windblown and fallen trees.

Orders placed off the framework will be awarded on an individual basis.
Full details of the requirement can be found in the Service Specification, which forms a Schedule to the Terms and Conditions.
Contractors can apply for one or both Lots under the framework.
