Description

Nottingham City Council requires the design and production of 4 x 'Objects In Focus' interactives and 3 x touchscreen interactive political cartoon experiences that can help turn historical content into a series of exciting, challenging and rewarding activities that deliver key learning objectives. The exhibits will be in the new Rebellion Gallery at Nottingham Castle - an area exploring moments in the City's history when citizens rose up against repression and abuses of power. The scope of this contract includes: • The development of the exhibit concepts including graphic treatment and interactive activities. • Development of a cartoon themed activity • The production of prototypes of each exhibit suitable for testing with our visitors • The production of the final software • Installation of the exhibit software • Advice on the specification of computer hardware required for this exhibit • 12-month warranty support for the physical interfaces and software from the opening of the new exhibition estimated to be late 2020. Not within the scope of this contract • Procurement and installation of the hardware • Digitisation of the 'Objects In Focus' • Scripting of the illustrated essays and annotations of the political cartoons • Sourcing and rights clearance of a selection of political cartoons from each of the three historical periods; plus background information about the cartoons - what they are showing, what point they are trying to put across, when and where they were printed etc • The design, build and installation of the exhibit housing and any associated exhibition furniture • User Testing
