Description
Southwark Council invites quotations to supply and install a new electricity-powered outdoor cooking area in Burgess Park in London, UK.
The park is 56 hectares and is Southwark's largest park. It stretches from Camberwell and Walworth in the west, to Peckham and the Old Kent Road in the east. The outdoor cooking area will include:
2no or 3no electric hotplates that are accessible for people with disabilities
5no picnic benches (supplied by the council)
Hard standing surrounding all electric hotplates, under five picnic benches, for pathways
3no bins (supplied by the council)
Cleaning equipment to allow users to clean the hotplates
There are trees on site, however all works are expected to be outside of root protection areas.
The council is also considering having a booking system for the cooking facilities. If your company is able to provide a booking system, please provide information and a price.
This is a competitive quotation process and your fee proposal will be assessed on price, quality and social value at a ratio of 70% price : 25% quality : social value 5%. The information required for the quality assessment can be found in appendix 3.
The successful tenderer will be required to enter into a JCT Minor Works Building Contract with contractor's design. The Agreement and Contract Particulars, and the Amendments to Conditions can be found in appendix 6 and appendix 7.

Please return the following documents in your fee proposal via ProContract:
• Confirmation of your Contractor's Public Liability insurance; the required level of cover is not less than £10 million. If your insurance level is lower, please get in touch
• Either complete the pricing document (appendix 2) or if you would prefer, you can submit your price in another format; please ensure all items in the schedule of works are included, and that your price includes a breakdown
• Your proposed works programme, commencing on the follow dates:
o Design work commencing 13 March 2024
o Works commencing 24 April 2024
• Your quality information as described in appendix 3
• Your social value information as described in appendix 3
