Description

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham has embarked on a major programme of transformational change.

Set out in our Ambition 2020 proposals "We all have a part to play" is a fundamental redesign of how the Council will need to operate to achieve our growth vision, and by 2020 to operate with half of the budget than we had in 2010. Our proposals for re-shaping the Council and how we will provide our services are defined as:
• An organisation that is designed to enable the contribution of others as well as deliver services ourselves.
• Moving from an organisation designed around professional service silos to one that is designed around what we need to achieve for those who live or work in our borough.
• Clear long-term goals, higher standards and performance.
• Structures that allow our workforce and others to deliver the best possible services.

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham wishes to engage leadership development specialists to partner a programme for leadership development to be delivered from September 2016 to March 2017.
