Description

The project aims to clearly portray the impacts and interactions between spatial, development and land use polices, decisions made using these policies, and the impact on the water environment. The project will identify:
• opportunities to maximise the positive impacts of existing policies,
• instances where policies inadvertently oppose our ambitions for the water environment, or
• where there are evidence gaps that make taking informed policy decisions difficult

The project will deliver three outputs:
• Systems mapping of 2-3 local plans to determine policy interactions
• Analysis of systems mapping (to identify the three bullets above)
• Learning, recommendations, and case studies to inform best practice approaches
