Description

Quotation for Buggy Walks across Sandwell

Sandwell "Council" is seeking to appoint an experienced provider to deliver a comprehensive, high quality and cost effective programme of Buggy Walks across Sandwell.

Local research undertaken by Cordis Bright in Sandwell (2016) highlighted;

• Parents would like health and wellbeing activities including "general fitness to lose weight gained during pregnancy".

• These should be delivered in line with the maternity pathway; in local accessible and trusted venues and by such trusted professionals.

The service is a town based approach and must be needs I insight led.

The provider will be monitored and managed closely against the service aims, description and KPls outlined in the specification.

The outcomes must ensure:

1. Engage with relevant services in the maternal and post-natal field such as (not exclusive of, or limited) to; Health Visitors, Children's Centres, Family Information Service, Maternal Wellbeing Team.

2. Develop volunteers to take ownership of, and lead the buggy walks as a means of sustainability.

3. Provide clear exit routes into either community or other appropriate physical activity, in which participants are encouraged to continue their physical activity journey.

The Contract Period will commence from 1st August 2017 to 31st March 2018
