Description

Purpose
To provide a brief for a broadcast partner to work with BFI on video production for the BFI London Film Festival and specific content packages across the festival period.

Background
The 61st BFI London Film Festival in Partnership with American Express(R) will take place 4-15 October 2017. The 60th anniversary edition of the Festival presented 397 features and short films and in total presented 587 screenings at 16 venues across the capital. More than 800 international and British filmmakers attended the Festival to support their films in the programme, ranging from major global superstars and many of the world's most established directors, to new talents making their first short film.

Video capture forms an important part of London Film Festival: it captures the atmosphere, the dynamism, the depth and breadth of the festival in a way no other medium can achieve. By using BFI digital platforms, website (bfi.org.uk/lff) and BFI YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/user/BFIfilms) as well as social media channels and publishing live (or close to live) we can showcase the cutting-edge nature of the BFI and reaching both existing and new audiences.

Our video content outputs aim to:
? Increase awareness of the festival
? Reflect and provide context to the themes of the LFF(both consumer and industry facing)
? Engage existing, new and diverse audiences
? Drive ticket sales
? Provide legacy / evergreen content for future consumption
