Description
Current Situation To allow young people to gain easy access to Chlamydia Screening via Primary Care Services and local outreach providers. The Public Health England (PHE) Laboratory located at Addenbrookes Hospital currently provide screening kits and a system for the return of screening kits to and from contracted primary care services in the area including GP practices and local outreach providers, undertake testing of samples and provide results to the local integrated sexual health provider. Cambridgeshire County Council, Public Health Directorate are carrying out this soft market test to determine the options and potential cost of providing a Chlamydia Screening Laboratory Service (Primary Care) in line with the National Chlamydia Screening Programme Standards (7th Edition).
