Description

LB Southwark are seeking expressions of interest from competent contractors to design and construct 109 residential units. 35 of these will be Intermediate Units (Shared Ownership) with the remainder tenured for Council Rent. There are two water towers that have been integrated into the scheme and a large electrical substation that will continue to serve an existing estate with necessary upgrade works to also serve the proposed development. The proposed development consists of two separate blocks, communal courtyard that will provide play and amenity space for residents and the link to the existing communal spaces within the estate where possible. The scheme also includes private gardens and active frontages overlooking the adjacent park. The existing site is currently vacant following an earlier phase of Estate Regeneration works which demolished the original Estate buildings on the site that were connected into a high-level walkway system with a bridge link to an adjacent estate.

The site is located within an urban densely populated area, in close proximity to occupied residential dwellings in London, SE15.
