Description

Early Intervention and Prevention Services - Bidders Event

Cheshire West and Chester is introducing an integrated model of commissioning to support people to stay as independent and well as possible for as long as possible.

This is based on a three tier model (with a lead organisation for each tier) where:

Tier 1 consists of universal services to promote wellbeing;
Tier 2 is for targeted early intervention and prevention services;
Tier 3 covers reablement and specialist services for people who have long term or more complex needs.

The attached consultation document (from July 2016) provides further background information about this new model.

A series of co-production events, involving service users, carers and professionals, have taken place throughout March and April which will help inform the new service specifications.

The council is proposing a strong emphasis on social value as a key criteria in the procurement scoring and is looking for providers who will go above and beyond in the delivery of services and provide additional benefits to communities.

This Bidders Event has been arranged whereby interested organisations and potential providers can hear more detail about the model and the procurement process and ask questions. The event will also provide an additional opportunity for networking.
