Description

Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) is learning about the emotional, social and physical aspects of growing up, relationships, sex, human sexuality and sexual health. It should equip children and young people with the information, skills and values to have safe, fulfilling and enjoyable relationships and to take responsibility for their sexual health and wellbeing. RSE aims to contribute to behaviour change, including reducing unprotected and unwanted sex, and reducing harmful behaviour, including sexual offences such as assault and abuse. Good quality RSE also fulfils children and young people's right to information about their bodies and health. Overall outcomes include reductions in unplanned conceptions (especially under 16 and 18years old) and sexually transmitted infections. Quotations are invited for the provision of the Delivery of Relationships and Sex Education training to school staff, professionals and community practitioners in Leicestershire & Rutland The initial contract period will be 24 months with the option to extend for up to a further period(s) totalling 12 months.
