Description

The Service will be outcome focused and personalised to promote choice, control and independence, tailoring support to young people's specific needs. Outcomes will be measurable and able to be evidenced.

As a result of accessing the Service, educators will:
• Have increased confidence and ability to identify pupils with occupational performance difficulties;
• Have increased ability to support pupils with needs which is sustainable and long-term;
• Have access to relevant techniques and strategies to adapt the learning environment so that pupils are integrated into their educational surroundings;
• Have access to on-going information, training, advice and to develop guidance.

Children and young people will:
• Have access to therapeutic interventions which are tailored to their individual needs in a way that fulfils their personal and educational potential;
• Be better integrated into their educational setting which is demonstrated by improved behaviour, attendance, engagement in learning and inclusion in mainstream lessons.
• Have improved social understanding and communication skills as appropriate;
• Have improved independence skills as appropriate;
• Become more emotionally literate, more self-aware and be able to self-regulate so they can successfully progress with their education;
• Have planned and supported transition into and out of educational settings at key times and as required.
