Description

1.To more accurately assess the size and value to the UK economy (GVA) of the rail supply chain, together with the number of employees and regional distribution. The main benefit of this will be to enable a clearer collective understanding of the supply chain to encourage future investment and potential development of suitable clusters.
2.To map the structure of key representative elements of the supply chain, particularly where a tiered supply chain exists and how the current structure creates issues for effective development in the five key technology areas
