Description
The London Borough of Hillingdon (Hillingdon) is seeking a suitably experienced Contractor to provide a comprehensive, efficient, customer focused and cost effective manned guarding, CCTV and general security service to the Civic Centre and other sites across Hillingdon's non-housing property portfolio.
The objective is to ensure the security of Hillingdon Council staff and visitors at the Civic Centre, various other corporate properties as required. This service will be required 24 hours a day (on some sites), Monday through to Sunday throughout the year, inclusive of statutory Bank Holidays.
Security staff will be a point of contact for the emergency services in the event of a situation occurring that requires the support of the Council's own workforce or Emergency Planning team
The scope of the services may develop during the course of the contract and the Contractor will be required to be flexible in the approach to service provision whilst maintaining core integrity.
The Core contract will be based at Hillingdon's Civic Centre along with a permanent attendance at Olympic House in Hillingdon, One Stop Shop in Hayes, Harlington Road Depot, Cedars and Grainges Car Parks, Battle of Britain Visitor Centre and various ad hoc services such as dealing with illegal incursions. The remainder of the contract will be based on Key Holding, Alarm Response and other ad hoc requirements as instructed at any of the Councils 200+ corporate properties including but not limited to the following:
- Day Centres
- Residential Homes
- Libraries
- Leisure Centres
The Council intends to award a contract for these services for a period of up to three (3) years with an option to extend for up to a further 1+1 years subject to agreement and satisfactory performance.
TUPE regulations will apply under this contract.
