Description

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY
The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to support NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to form a view of the best way to procure the service described below and is not an Invitation to Tender (ITT).

NHS SBS on behalf of NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), are seeking information from Providers which will be used to help determine the commissioning approach for the Provision of an Impacted Ear Wax Pathway of Care Service for the population of the Stockport for all patients aged 16yrs and older. The CCG are seeking information relating to commissioning a timely, high quality, evidenced based service for the treatment of ear clearance such as; compacted ear wax for non-complex patients. To align Stockport's capacity for treatment for impacted ear wax per head of population, NHS Stockport CCG needs to increase the current capacity by 8,172 episodes to offer capacity of 14,988 episodes of care. This would enable patients to have treatment within two calendar weeks/14 days, which supports the proposed pathway of care. For the purpose of this RFI, the Affordability Threshold is estimated to be £100,000 per annum. Your Request for Information (RFI) response will also help the CCG refine the service specification as well as inform the potential benefits of competition to improve services with regards to meeting the needs of service users, improving quality, value for money and better integration without destabilising service provision.

You are therefore encouraged to respond to all questions as fully as you can to evidence the relative benefits of a potential competitive process. Following receipt of the RFI documentation and the finalisation of the CCG commissioning approach, it is the CCG expectation that the Procurement documentation will be issued within the next 6 months. Bidders wishing to express an interest in participating in the RFI process should register their interest on the EU Supply Website to access the documentation. To register on EU Supply please log on to the following website: https://nhssbs.eu-supply.com and look for tender reference number 26655. The RFI documentation will be available to download from 30th January 2017 and should be completed and submitted by 5pm on Friday 3rd March 2016. For support registering on EU Supply and downloading the Documentation please contact the e-Tendering help desk on 0800 840 2050 or support@eu-supply.com.
