Description

A Contractor is required to undertake kitchen and bathroom refurbishment works at Harrison Court, West Mersea, which is a sheltered housing scheme for older people.

The works are programmed to take place in a six month period as a continuous programme with each flat being refurbished in 3 weeks all as the detailed programme supplied with the tender package. It is envisaged that 3 vacant flats will be refurbished first then on a rolling programme, tenants will be decanted (by CBH) to these vacant flats for 3 weeks whilst their flat is refurbished.

Bidders are advised that installation of new ground source heat pumps, new radiators and associated pipework is to be carried out at the same time as the kitchen and bathroom replacement programme. The building contractor must allow to work with and cooperate fully with the mechanical engineer to ensure the radiators and associated pipeworks are replaced at the same time as the kitchen and bathroom works.
