Description

Camden and Islington Public Health wish to appoint a suitable Host organisation(s) that will be responsible for the recruitment, employment and general support of a Camden Food Poverty Alliance (CFPA) Coordinator . Applications from either partnerships or single organisations will be welcomed.

Essential to the success of this project is that the host organisation(s) fit the following criteria:

1. Are a Camden-based community-based organisation with established peer networks in the borough.

2. Have demonstrable ability to reach a wide variety of residents and communities, not limited to a specific interest, age, or ethnic group.

3. Have demonstrable experience of supporting Camden residents experiencing food poverty, including the provision of food (free of otherwise, either currently or having provided during the last 2 years).*

4. Have demonstrable experience of recruiting, supporting, training and managing staff and volunteers.

5. Are permanently located within Camden and able to provide desk space for the CFPA Coordinator in a community based venue (this could be within your organisations' normal office space, for example).

Note that if you are applying as a partnership these criteria can be achieved collectively with the exception of point 1, which must be fulfilled by both organisations.

* If applying as a partnership both organisations should have experience of supporting Camden residents experiencing food poverty; at least one organisation must have experience of food provision (free or otherwise) for those experiencing food poverty.
