Description
NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGCSU) on behalf of NHS England Specialised Commissioning (referred to as the Commissioner(s)) is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver the specialised services for women with complications of mesh inserted for urinary incontinence and vaginal prolapse.
NHS England (National) Specialised Commissioning (Specialised Services) will be the contracting and commissioning authority.
The aim of the procurement is to commission specialised services for women with complications of mesh inserted for urinary incontinence and vaginal prolapse for NHS England patients across the geographical areas of England in the UK.
NHS England will be seeking to appoint contracts for up to 7 (seven) centres in 7 (seven) LOTS as advertised as part of a multi-lot procurement:
Lot 1 North East and Yorkshire
Lot 2 North West
Lot 3 East of England
Lot 4 London
Lot 5 Midlands
Lot 6 South East
Lot 7 South West
The objectives of the procurement for this service are to:
• Fully implement the scope and aim of the service described in the final Service Specification;
• Ensure that appointed providers have the capacity and capability to provide the quality and patient outcomes for the service required as commissioned by NHS England;
• Provide appropriate access for NHS England patients, provide assessment and, where required, surgery;
• Mobilise services to assess patients waiting for review, provide consultation, treatment and aftercare.
• To develop a clinical network of centres delivering services to patients nationally in regional geographies.
