Description

The Authority are seeking to commission an organisation over the 21/22
financial year with expert knowledge of community providers to understand the barriers and
enablers to the international recruitment of Registered Nurses to community provider
organisations and to co-produce the solutions with provider organisations in order help them
establish a pipeline of overseas nurses to be welcomed into community nursing teams.

The national Maternity Transformation Programme seeks to implement the vision
of Better Births for safer and more personalised care across England and to
improve equity for mothers and their babies. Co-production helps to ensure
efficient and effective implementation of this vision.
The NHS Constitution states "the NHS belongs to the people". The NHS is
founded on a set of values, including 'working together for patients'. People have
the right to be involved in the planning of healthcare services. The NHS is
responsible for working in partnership with people to achieve this.
Co-production "is a way of working that involves people who use health and care
services, carers and communities in equal partnership; and which engages groups
of people at the earliest stages of service design, development and evaluation. [It]
acknowledges that people with 'lived experience'...are often best placed to advise
on what support and services will make a positive difference to their lives.'
