Description
The Virtual School has a statutory responsibility to monitor and track the attendance and attainment of all children in the care of the Local Authority. This externally provided, secure and efficient (and cost-efficient) system is central to our statutory role. It would not be cost and time effective to do this ourselves. As at 25th April 2022, there were 423 children of school age in care to Leicestershire with 308 educated in Leicestershire in 135 schools and 115 placed out of county in 91 schools.
