Description

The Council has a requirement for a voice and data cabling installation, maintenance and repair service on a call off basis for the Council's office properties and data centres. Included within the Council's requirement is the provision of cabling infrastructure design and the installation of electrical wiring, power sockets and ups where this is associated with data and voice cabling works in the Council's office properties or data centres.
The majority of Data Cabling in the Council's buildings is Cat5e/6 and above UTP cabling with single-mode and multi-mode fibre cabling between cabinets and buildings. In the newest buildings the Council has installed Cat6 Cabling. The successful tenderer must have a proven track record of designing and installing utp and fibre and above cabling systems both in office and live data centre environments.
