Description

Mare Hill Common is a 40 hectare area of heathland, scrub, woodland, and small pools. It is an internationally important wildlife site and is protected under both UK and European law for its valuable heathland habitat and associated rare species. It is also a much valued local greenspace which is popular both with local residents and those further afield for dog walking and informal recreation.
Waverley Borough Council is inviting tenders for the design, construction, and delivery of 4 freestanding interpretation panels for Mare Hill Common.
These boards should fit to the specification attached and will allow visitors to gain an appreciation and understanding of the history, wildlife, and management of the site. This will enhance their visit and give them the necessary knowledge to avoid behaviours which could inadvertently cause damage to this protected habitat and its sensitive wildlife.
