Description

Medway Men in Sheds is commissioned by public health as a mental wellbeing service.
Improved mental health and wellbeing is associated with a range of positive outcomes for people of all ages and backgrounds.
The scheme will deliver co produced shed based activity for unemployed or retired men in Medway age 18+ with activity led by the beneficiaries, supported by a scheme co-ordinator.

Overall aims for this project are on a spectrum as follows:

• Mental health promotion: promoting mental wellbeing and reducing social isolation
• Early intervention: early intervention/prevention for emerging or low level mental health issues.
• Suicide prevention: reducing risk in higher risk groups and reducing suicide rates.
