Description

Homes England is currently seeking to appoint a competent supplier for the provision of landscape maintenance and cleansing services for a number of sites within the North East Hospital Sites area. The sites currently within the scope of this contract include Cherry Knowle, Longbenton, Seaham Colliery; and Saint Georges. The sites vary in size and character and include public open space, land reserved for future development and residual land left over as a result of residential and commercial development. Suppliers shall note that Cherry Knowle is currently under the responsibility of housing developer Barratts, though it is understood there is possibility the site may return to Homes England within the timescale of this Landscape Maintenance Contract. Costs have been included within the Schedule of Works for the maintenance of Cherry Knowle however the Supplier shall note that this is 'Optional', Homes England reserve the right to remove the site from the scope of award dependent on outcome of ongoing discussions. This contract is envisaged to have duration of 2 years with provision for a further 1 year extension under the same Terms and Conditions of this contract. Any contract extensions will be based on tendered Rates and Prices. The anticipated commencement date for the Service is 01st October 2018. Prior to Tendering, Suppliers should ensure that they have the availability and capacity to commence and deliver the Service within a timely manner. Typical planned Services under this contract comprise of but are not exclusively limited to the following Site inspections; Grass Cutting; Hedge Cutting; Ornamental shrub Pruning; Weed Control Ornamental Shrub Maintenance; and Cleansing. This contract is a performance based, the performance of which will be monitored via Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).

The contract will be subject to English law. Tenders and all supporting documents must be priced in GBP and all payments under the contract will be made in GBP.
