Description

The requirement is to procure a new X-Ray towcart scanner machine and support services for 5 (five) years.
A new X-Ray towcart scanner machine is required for the primary role of screening checked in baggage at RAF Akrotiri. The machine must be capable of continually X-Raying large hold baggage. Mobile capability is essential to enable deployment within the Sovereign Base Area (SBA). The machine will be a shared asset between the two Customs control points at Akrotiri and Dhekelia.
Support services (including on-going maintenance, repairs when necessary, and the provision of spare parts when necessary) are required in order to comply with the Ionising Radiations Regulations 1999. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Sovereign Base Area Administration (SBAA) is required by law to regularly maintain the X-Ray towcart scanner machine.
