Description

Birmingham and Solihull Youth Promise Plus (YPP) is a Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP) endorsed initiative funded through the European Commission ESIF 2014 + European Social Fund (ESF) and Youth Employment Initiative (YEI) arrangements. The project covers the Birmingham and Solihull municipal areas which form the areas of greatest need within the wider GBSLEP geography in terms of youth engagement and unemployment.

Birmingham City Council wishes to establish a network of contracted suppliers for the provision of the Birmingham and Solihull Youth Promise Plus (YPP) Business Engagement for Employment Opportunities for NEET Young People. Within this service area, suppliers are required to recruit, employ, manage and deploy Employment Development Workers who will engage with employers in key growth sectors and localities in order to negotiate and develop supported pathways to vacancies and other work based opportunities which are targeted on, and accessible to, project participants who are NEET (Not Engaged in Education, Employment or Training) young people (15-29 year olds including both unemployed and economically inactive).
