Brief Description of Requirement

The Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC) has a requirement for the manufacture, delivery, installation and commissioning of a grid-connected Wind Turbine and associated equipment at its Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL) site on the Harwell Campus near Didcot, Oxfordshire, OX11 0QX in the UK. Planning permission has been granted.
We strongly recommend that you attend a Site Visit in order to gain complete clarity of our requirements and the environment that you will be working in. The date/s of the Site Visits are - 5th & 10th October 2017. Please follow the process outlined in Section 3, Timescales, 3.7 above to arrange a visit to site.
Your bid must cover:
• The construction of the foundation for the wind turbine
• Cable Trenching
• Delivery of all items to the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory site near Didcot, UK.
• The supply and erection of the wind turbine
• The supply and installation of an inverter
• The supply and installation of approximately 100m of power and data cables
• The connection to an existing electrical supply in an existing Porta cabin
• The supply and installation of an energy meter
• The commissioning of the wind turbine including connection to the RAL Distribution network, according to Engineering Recommendation (EREC) G59.
• A full parts & Labour Warranty Period.
• A Service/Inspection Maintenance Contract

This contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria set out in the ITQ document.
