Description

Young Carers - Positive Activities.

The positive activities provision will give young carers the chance to meet with other young people who are carers and to undertake a range of experiences, have fun, have a break from caring, achieve positive outcomes and raise aspirations. The provider will be required to undertake six weekly timetabling of activities that are co-produced with young carers. The activities will be within the Borough of Sandwell. The provider must establish partnerships with providers of other local activities and ensure there are seamless and cohesive services for the young carer.

Tenderers should note that, from 1 April 2018, provision of children's social care services is to be transferred from the Council to Sandwell Children's Social Care Trust (\"The Trust\"). It is anticipated that the Council will award the contract for this service on behalf of the trust and the contract will be entered into with Sandwell Children's Social Care Trust.
