Brief Description of Requirement:
Innovate UK is part of UK Research and Innovation, a non-departmental public body funded by a grant-in-aid from the UK government. We drive productivity and economic growth by supporting businesses to develop and realise the potential of new ideas, including those from the UK's world-class research base. We fund business and research collaborations through competitive processes to accelerate innovation and drive business investment into research and development.
To provide an anticipatory and supportive process for disabled customers, Innovate UK will procure an expert third party supplier to provide tailored reasonable adjustment support for individual applicants. The supplier will liaise with Customer Support Services (CSS) to provide the support in a timely manner.
The Customer Support Services Team (CSS) are responsible for providing front line support to our internal and external customers through inbound calls and emails. The enquiries they receive span from who we are and what we do through to project completion. CSS is also responsible for providing 'project set up' support to our successful applicants post competition notification.
The purpose of this requirement is to implement and deliver an effective reasonable adjustment support structure for Innovate UK's customers, specifically competition applicants, with potential for extension to assessors and monitoring officers.
