An unique opportunity has arisen to commission the Energy Institute, UCL, to interrogate datasets held by their Building Stock Lab to understand the current composition and building characteristics of traditional buildings within Conservation Areas using their 3D Stock Model (refer to the Appendix & endnotes for further detail on the model). The research would be valuable, robust source to understand the state of energy efficiency of the traditional building stock within Conservation Areas and inform the evidence needs of Historic England's climate change programme.
