NHS England Yorkshire & Humber proposes to commission Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Services (AAA) in the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw area. The aim of an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Service (AAA) is to: Reduce deaths from AAA through early detection, monitoring, and treatment to all men aged 65 registered with a GP or
resident in South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw. The service will also work with people who are housebound, people in other minority groups, people with protected characteristics (in accordance with disability discrimination/legislation) and people in places of detention to provide them opportunity to take up the service within the defined catchment area. This Prior Information Notice is an early opportunity for suitably qualified providers to express their initial interest in this procurement opportunity. NECS is utilising an electronic tendering system to manage this procurement and communicate with potential tenderers.
Accordingly, there will be no hard copy documents issued to tenderers and all communications with NECS, will be conducted via the portal hosted by (In-Tend), the managed service provider for the NECS electronic tendering system. Please note that all providers who express an interest in this initial PIN will be automatically published the ITT Documents upon the publication of a Contract Notice in OJEU you will not be required to express your interest for a second time.
Potential providers who have not expressed their interest in the initial PIN will be required to express their interest when the
Contract Notice is published in OJEU. It is envisaged that a Contract Notice will be published in OJEU in late July 2015 for a contract commencement date of 01/04/2016. Please note that this facility allows the provider to express an interest only in potentially delivering this service. This is not a Pre-Qualification Process.
