Description
Bidders are asked to submit a formal tender for the "Project management consultancy and training programme"
NML is a group of 8 museums and galleries and 5 non-public sites located across Merseyside with 710 staff and 200 volunteers.
We are a complex organisation which has gone through a period of challenge and is coming into a time of transformational change.
We would like to appoint a project management consultant to review our existing processes across our key project managing departments. These departments include Exhibitions, Estates, Commercial & Business Development, IS, Education and Collections Management. From this review we would expect the consultant to bring together the core themes and recommend the best language and approach to develop an organisation wide project management methodology. Following this review, we would like to see a bespoke training module developed that would use some of NML's existing language and process but adopting some agile project methodology, management and delivery. The module should reflect the projects undertaken in the museum and heritage sector, ranging from exhibition planning to capital infrastructure redevelopment.
We are looking for a company to develop a training solution that can support training a core team of staff who have direct project management responsibility but will also provide NML with the tools to roll this training out to other staff and new starters as required. The format of learning could be both e-learning and traditional classroom training but needs to be sufficient to embed a new approach to project management and enable teams to feel empowered and confident to use the new skills easily. As the organisation currently has a number of processes which have been used for many years it is essential that the changes introduced are clear and workable and will enable teams to adopt these methods easily.
