Description

Furniture is required for educational and business use and must be capable of withstanding the heavy wear and tear typical of a FE environment. Durability, comfort and aesthetic design are of equal importance. A priority of the College is the reduction of the whole life cost - demonstration of how this has been achieved within other contracts should be detailed within the experience section.

The chosen supplier will be required to provide free of charge design layout drawings in pdf or compatible format. A refresh programme is conducted throughout the year consisting of a full range of furniture requirements, smaller orders are placed throughout the year according to demand. Requirements include but are not limited to; fully welded tables, operator chairs, stacking chairs, lockers, tambour units, white boards, notice boards, leather effect settees and other soft seating. Please refer to the specification / pricing matrix for further details. All figures and Order details are provided as an indication of potential usage which are subject to change and should in no way be taken as a guarantee of future work.

While the contract will make provision for the inclusion of project requirements the College reserve the right to exclude specialised requirements from the contract to ensure that the College obtains best value.

The proposed contract is for a fixed period of 3 years options to extend for a further 1 year subject to satisfactory performance and a benchmark of applicable rates/performance.
