Description

Following the recent announcement of £13 million for the West Midlands Active Travel Fund, Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) is working with local authorities to deliver towards the Starley Network announced during Summer 2020. The new funding means that planned projects can now go ahead. Amongst other things, these projects aim to help people to improve their mental health and increase physical activity.

In light of the above TfWM, part of the WMCA (West Midlands Combined Authority) is looking to procure consultancy support to provide resource to support walking and cycling activity in the West Midlands Active Travel Fund Programme in local communities. These will be rolled out to maximum effect to enable inclusive access to the new infrastructure and wider cycling and walking network.

There are two Lots, one each to be available to communities in the following areas, and bidders can bid for either or both Lots:

- Lot 1 - Black Country (Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton)
- Lot 2 - Birmingham, Coventry and Solihull

Bidders will be asked to outline how they would bolster community activity over the timeframe of the commission which is from April to December 2021.

In order to access the documents and submit a bid please do so through BravoSolution, the WMCA's e-tendering portal (https://wmca.bravosolution.co.uk). The tender reference is itt_938 and if you are not already registered on BravoSolution it is free and usually only takes a few minutes to do so.

This tender is being evaluated on the basis of 80/20 quality/price. The closing date for submissions is 1200 noon on Friday 9th April 2021 and if you have any clarification questions the deadline for submitting them is 1200 noon on Wednesday 7th April 2021.
