Background:
North London Waste Authority (NLWA) is running an extensive waste prevention programme from 1 April 2016 to 31 March 2018 focusing on reducing local authority collected waste in north London. The 2016/18 programme of activity has recently been agreed and will include intensive activity to reduce three priority waste streams: food, furniture and textiles. We are seeking to appoint contractors to complement the work that NLWA will deliver in 2016/17 with potential extension in 2017/18. Further details of the waste prevention programme of activity for 2016/18 as approved by Authority Members at the February 2016 Authority meeting can be viewed at http://www.nlwa.gov.uk/docs/2011/5-waste-prevention-plan-(final-for-web).docx.
