Description

VSO is a global voluntary organisation whose mission has been to bring people together to fight poverty through the lasting power of volunteering.
We will be running a tender process with the intention of awarding a Framework Agreement for the provision of travel vaccinations and anti-malarial tablets for young people volunteering as part of the government funded International Citizen Service. We are seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced and qualified organisations.
VSO is the contract lead for the International Citizen Service a programme supporting young people from the UK to volunteer overseas alongside young people from developing countries. The current ICS contract will run until early 2019 with the final departures expected to be in spring 2018 and planned VSO volunteer departures of c.1, 500. Volunteers from other ICS agencies have total planned departures of c3, 300.
The ICS contract is managed through a consortium of respected development organisations. The Framework Agreement will be accessible to ICS agencies and they may sign post their volunteers to the successful provider for services.
We are looking for a provider of travel vaccinations and anti-malarial tablets that provides quality of service with excellent up-to-date travel medicine advice at a competitive price to support the value for money of this government funded programme.
Key elements to the service will include:
* Good regional access for volunteers across the whole of the UK
* Up to date travel medicine advice
* Robust processes for dissemination of advice by appropriately trained staff
* Strong customer service focus with an understanding of the diversity of our ICS volunteer body
* Clear and transparent accounting and invoicing systems
* Competitively priced
Organisations wishing to express their interest should do so in writing to sarah.moon@vsoint.org by January 06 2017 and provide a contact name, organisation name, phone number and email address.
Tender documents will be issued in mid January 2017.
