This 2021 mechanical dredging campaign is required to restore depths in parts of the Turning Basin, River Derwent Catch Pit and other areas that are difficult to access by a normal TSHD, in the Port of Workington, Cumbria. For most dredging plant the work is tidal (dredge level is approximately -1.8m CD) and is anticipated to be undertaken by mechanical dredging plant.

Tenders are invited for both a Measured Contract and or Charter to reinstate specified levels during the works. The required dredge levels in each area are detailed within the Specification but may be required to be adjusted during the works by the Engineer's instruction.
