Description
Plymouth City Council is building a major new arts and heritage complex (The Box Plymouth) that will open in spring 2020.
A key element in the new permanent exhibitions will be the redisplay of 14 large nineteenth century ships' figureheads.
Plymouth City Council would like to hear from Accredited Conservators with relevant experience of working with polychrome wooden sculpture in maritime collections. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) exercise will follow and once appointed, the Conservator will be required to assess the current condition, develop and deliver a schedule of work for the conservation treatment and re-display.
Expressions of Interest are sought by 1st September 2017
Plymouth City Council anticipates that the Request for Quotation exercise will commence on 5th September 2017
