Description
Lot 1: Neurodivergent Hub The Council is commissioning a twice weekly peer led hub specifically for neurodivergent adults (e.g. autistic adults and adults with ADHD) which provides information and peer support and enhances social and communication skills, independence and resilience for adults and young people aged 16+ in Calderdale The service will engage with people with neurodivergent conditions e.g. Autism and ADHD who may be vulnerable and isolated within the Calderdale community and provide them with the specific support, strategies, guidance and information to enable them to make healthier lifestyle choices and decisions, build resilience and enable them to better manage life experiences. The successful Tenderer will be encouraged to be innovative, cost effective and incorporate added value when delivering the service The key aims of this service are to provide a preventative service for young people (16+) and adults with Autism or ADHD who have little or no formal support, and to improve outcomes for service users.
Lot 2: Neurodivergent Employment Service The Council is commissioning a weekly employment service specifically for neurodivergent adults which provides information, guidance and support to adults with Autism, ADHD and other neurodivergent conditions in Calderdale who are working towards gaining paid or voluntary work The service will engage with neurodivergent people without a learning disability who may be vulnerable and isolated within the Calderdale community and will provide them with the specific support, strategies, guidance and information to enable them to enhance their employability in order to apply for voluntary or paid work. The needs of individuals will vary from starting to look at which areas of work interest them and fit their skill set, to applying for their next job.
