Description

WYCC values the relationship and support for collaborative working, and wants to invite applications from organisations that are committed to working in partnership to deliver quality training which meets the Leeds City Region skills agenda.

This commission has been developed by collaborating with employers, industry and education. It has also been influenced by, and responds to, national, regional and local skills challenges, strategies and intelligence. This has shaped a commission which seeks to a Conversion Programme to increase the supply of highly skilled individuals to the advanced manufacturing industries.

The main aims of this training are to-

Increasing the skills levels (through training) of employed individuals from the existing level to the next level up, to encourage progression in employment (particularly at level 3 and above)

Train individuals in their pursuit of careers in the advanced manufacturing sector;

Develop individuals who, upon completion, are ready to progress in advanced manufacturing sector occupations

Support employers to grow their own skills, ensuring that their staff have the specific technical and other skills that are required to meet business objectives.
