Description

HMPPS Psychology Services deliver a range of psychological activities within HM Prisons and NPS Community. These include clinical assessment and intervention, research, consultancy and training. They require HCPC Registered Forensic Psychologists to complete risk assessments on men and women in custody. This will include compilation of professional reports for submission to the Parole Board. These assessments may be required from prison establishments across England and Wales. Services will be required on both a regular and ad-hoc basis to support work usually undertaken by HMPPS Psychology Services. The demand for risk assessments is variable and can sometimes outstrip the HMPPS Psychology Service ability to deliver within timescales required. The Provider will be required to deliver high quality forensic psychological risk assessment and reports services to ensure delivery of Parole Board Directed work by HMPPS Psychology Services. The Provider will take from HMPPS Psychology Services instruction on the requirements for the risk assessments and professional reports.
