Description
Walsall Children's Services is seeking quotes from organisations to deliver support to Walsall Council foster carers. The successful bidder will be based in Walsall and be led by a management committee comprising foster carers based in Walsall. The service will include peer support, advice and guidance to foster carers as well as providing opportunities for activities and outings for foster carers and the children and young people in their care. The successful organisation will be skilled in attracting match funding opportunities and able to add value to their bid by maximising the number of sessions offered. This is premised in Social Value Act which aims to benefit to the local communities and economy.
The service needs to be available from 1st May 2017 and the contract will run for 2 years with the possible extension of up to an additional 12 months (2 years plus up to a further 12 months). The decision to activate the extension will be made within 6 months of the end of the initial 2 year period.
