Description

Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) is responsible for planning and delivering a geological disposal facility for higher level radioactive waste in the UK. It is one of the most important environmental projects of our generation and will be the first community consent-based process for a major infrastructure project in the UK.

As part of the programme we will be able to provide grant funding of up to £1m per year in communities that forms a partnership with us. The funding can be invested in projects which: promote economic development, job and skills; improve the environment and cultural heritage; or enhance local wellbeing. RWM will work in partnership to meet the needs of the communities which consent to work with us.

RWM is seeking to appoint an experienced service provider to partner with us. The provider will undertake grants administration services in relation to this funding across the full grant life cycle. We anticipate distributing around £15m over the next 5 years across England and Wales.

To help us implement this community investment in an effective, open and transparent manner we are hosting a supplier event to enable potential suppliers to learn more about the process and for us at RWM to understand your needs, should you wish to tender.
The supplier event will be held at the Radisson Blue Edwardian, Hampshire, 31-36 Leicester Square, London, WC2H 7LH. 11am - 1pm. 28th November 2019.
