Description
The Council wishes to commission an organisation with a strong track record of delivering work programmes and initiatives that aim to reduce incidences of hate crime.
The successful provider will work in partnership with the West Midlands Police and is expected to:
Contribute to the West Midlands Developing Hate Crime Reduction Strategy group;
Improve current hate crime reporting mechanisms;
Offer support services/intervention for both victims and perpetrator through restorative practice;
Raise awareness through a range of alternative platforms;
Facilitate case conferences between areas of tension and train independent hate crime specialist workers or/and hate crime prevention champions to support with reporting and providing advice in different formats.
