Description

South Central & West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) provides specialist business support services to NHS and non-NHS customers. Based in the south of England, SCW's team of 1,200 skilled professionals provide expert support for over 80 NHS and non-NHS customers - nationally, regionally and locally; making a difference for 14 million people across an area of 15,600 square miles. As a current delivery partner for 13 STPs we have been at the heart of emerging Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) and the increasing adoption of population health management approaches.

Outcomes
A partnerships strategy in format/s to be jointly agreed and developed through working closely with Business Development and Winning Work Director and SCW's Offer Leads, and including:
• Definition of an appropriate overarching approach to identifying, developing, managing and tracking strategic partnerships for SCW
• Strategic view of partnering needs and/or opportunities associated with the 5 SCW Offers
• Analysis of key competitors as potential partners (4 box model)
• Identification of potential partners with strategic influence on target markets and customers, and provision of support to engagement as required
• Prioritised list of target partners, including aims of any partnership for SCW and appropriate SCW ownership identified and agreed.
• Draft guidelines for when and how to identify and engage partners
• Establishment of a framework that allows SCW to work with strategic partners in an agile manner
• Transfer of knowledge into the SCW Customer Development function
• Development and delivery of a short training session for SCW partnership owners (around classification and assessment of potential partners, creating win-win, alignment of values, commercial and reputational risk, what 'partner' means to us etc.)

This will be a 6 month assignment.
