Description

NOTE: This is a Prior Information Notice as a call for competition.

Arden & GEM CSU on behalf of Birmingham South Central CCG is seeking expressions of interest from suitability qualified providers for the provision of GP Practice Services at The Hill Medical Practice based in Sparkhill, Birmingham. The practice provides general GP services, treatment and advice for a range of minor illnesses and injuries. A service will be required Monday - Friday 8am - 8pm and Saturday - Sunday 9am - 1pm. The current contract will expire on 31st March 2017 and is under an Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) contract. It is the intention of the CCG to award a short-term step-in contract to Midland Medical Partnership (MMP) for the period 1st April 2017 to 31st July 2017.

For the avoidance of doubt, this notice is for a contract which will commence on 1st August. The contract will be for an initial period of 7 years with an option to extend for a further 3 years. No further notice will be issued with regard to this opportunity and only those parties expressing an interest in this notice will be invited to tender. Those expressing an interest will be given access to documents which the step-in provider is party to.

The Services which are being procured are Schedule 3 - Social and Other Specific Services and Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU are bound only by those parts of the Regulations applying to Schedule 3 services.
